I don’t get out much these days – not to poetry events, and not as much as I’d like. I’m forever missing things. But I’m not going to miss this.
I had the privilege of hearing R. V. Bailey read with U. A. Fanthorpe at an Arvon Foundation course, nearly 10 years ago, and she was wonderful. They both were. And Kate Rhodes, whose work I hadn’t come across before, read in Walthamstow last year. I was blown away by her moving, musical, delicate poems from The Alice Trap. I’d like to hear them again.
And the other readers are pretty illustrious too. See you there?
